The independent brand Nothing will introduce Phone (2) today. The event will be hosted by Carl Pei, company CEO, and Casey Neistat, YouTube personality and vlogger, and will begin at 16:00 BST, which is 15:00 UTC.
The Nothing Phone (2) is expected to stick to the aesthetics of its predecessor with a transparent back and the Glyph Interface that is expected to feature 11 segmented LED strips with 33 lighting zones, a major increase over the Phone (1) from last year.
Specs-wise, the new device is getting a high-end Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. It will have a slightly bigger 6.7” display, which would give room for a bigger 4,700 mAh battery. The new device is also expected to reduce its carbon footprint by 10% and will use more recycled materials, including the aluminum mid-frame.
The Phone (2) should arrive in the United States, which will be a first for the Nothing smartphones. We will follow the event closely to learn more details on pricing and availability and will be ready with everything official once the event is over.
